Waiting on Wednesday #70: The Infinite Sea

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine, which spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

My pick for this week's WoW is...

The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey

Title: The Infinite Sea (The Fifth Wave #2)
Author: Rick Yancey
Release date: September 16th 2014
Publisher: Putnam Juvenile
Genre: Young Adult Science Fiction/Dystopian

How do you rid the Earth of seven billion humans? Rid the humans of their humanity.

Surviving the first four waves was nearly impossible. Now Cassie Sullivan finds herself in a new world, a world in which the fundamental trust that binds us together is gone. As the 5th Wave rolls across the landscape, Cassie, Ben, and Ringer are forced to confront the Others’ ultimate goal: the extermination of the human race.

Cassie and her friends haven’t seen the depths to which the Others will sink, nor have the Others seen the heights to which humanity will rise, in the ultimate battle between life and death, hope and despair, love and hate.

If you know me at all, you'll know how much I love sci-fi and dystopian of any sort. I adored The 5th Wave, and I'm absolutely dying for this sequel! Seriously. I can't even express how excited I am and how much I wish September were here already.

  1. That title is jarring, isn't it? Not at all like its predecessor. I'm looking forward to this book as well! Great pick, Richa. :)
