Underground fighter Remington Tate is a mystery, even to himself. His mind is dark and light, complex and enlightening. At times his actions and moods are carefully measured, and at others, they spin out of control.

Through it all, there's been one constant: wanting, needing, loving, and protecting Brooke Dumas. This is his story; from the first moment he laid eyes on her and knew, without a doubt, she would be the realest thing he's ever had to fight for.

I totally freaked out when I got the opportunity to read and review Remy just days after I devoured Mine! And man, did I love this book. I felt everything I did when I read Real, but in a different way. It was so amazing being inside Remy’s head. I want to re-read this book over and over again, it was that captivating!

Remy is essentially Real in Remy’s POV, with some slight tweaks. We also get some scenes from Mine in his POV, and we get to find out what’s happening in the present too. Remy and Brooke are getting ready for their wedding in present-day, and I really loved seeing how much they love each other and how comfortable they are with Racer now in the picture. Speaking of Racer, he is one adorable little boy! I did want to see more of him in the book. But I’m good with lots of Remy/Brooke time.

Initially I thought that Remy would get a little repetitive since most of it is Real in Remy’s POV, but I was wrong. I didn’t get bored for a second! It’s really different reading from Remy’s perspective. We get to see what he was thinking right from the beginning, and we get new scenes as well, that Brooke wasn’t a part of in Real. Like the part where Remy goes to find Scorpion after seeing the picture of Brooke kissing his tattoo. I’ve always wanted to know what exactly went down between them, and now I do. And it was so intense!

This book really made me empathize with Remy, way more than before. It shows different sides of him – the really sweet side, the protective and primal side, and also the broken parts of him that he doesn’t let anyone see. My heart broke for him quite a few times while reading, especially when he’d refer to his childhood and how he was treated.

I saw Brooke differently in this book too. If you’ve read Real, you’ll know the part towards the end, where Brooke leaves. Well, in this book, I experienced all the anger and pain that Remy did when he realized she left him, and I was hurt and mad on his behalf, too. But on the other hand, Brooke is portrayed as utter perfection by Remy throughout the novel, and it made me realize how and why exactly he fell for her.

The ending is absolutely perfect, and I can’t believe this is the last of Brooke and Remy’s story. I will miss these characters so much, and I’ll miss being in their heads. Remy has definitely satiated me for a while, though I’ll need to re-read this series all over again pretty soon. I can’t get enough of these incredible characters and beautiful story! Thank you, Katy, for giving us Remy and Brooke. And for those of you who haven’t had the fortune of meeting these two yet, what are you waiting for? Get to it!
