“I will do anything to make her MINE.” —Remington Tate

In the international bestseller REAL, the unstoppable bad boy of the Underground fighting circuit finally met his match. Hired to keep him in prime condition, Brooke Dumas unleashed a primal desire in Remington “Remy” Tate as vital as the air he breathes . . . and now he can’t live without her.

Brooke never imagined she would end up with the man who is every woman’s dream, but not all dreams end happily ever after, and just when they need each other the most, Brooke is torn away from the ringside. Now with distance and darkness between them, the only thing left is to fight for the love of the man she calls MINE.

Mine is an amazing follow-up to Real! And if you haven’t read the first book yet, you really, really need to. This is one NA series you don’t want to miss out on. Mine takes you deeper into the lives of Brooke and Remy, and what you see is so intense and beautiful. That’s the best word I can use to describe this book – beautiful.

Brooke is back with Remy and his team, prepping him for the season. This time, the championship is his. No way is she going to let him throw it away for her again. But complications arise, as they always do, and they’re pretty huge. Can Brooke and Remy get past everything in their unwavering love and stay together?

It’s really cool to see how much Brooke has changed from the beginning of the first book. She’s more open, and she loved Remy unconditionally. I seriously feel so happy for Remy knowing that he has someone to love him like that. Because we meet his parents in this book, and I wanted to bash their heads in so bad. It’s amazing how he turned out so amazing despite having parents like them. Remy’s pretty different in this book, too. He’s even more protective of Brooke, if you can imagine that! I don’t want to give away anything, so I can’t mention this one thing that I really loved about Mine. But you’ll see when you read the book. We get to see a really sweet side of Remy alongside his alpha male tendency, and that was quite unexpected for me so of course I loved it.

I also loved seeing Pete and Riley again. They’re so essential to the story and to Remy, and it’s sweet how they’re like brothers to him. Plus, they do provide a lot of humour to the series. They’re just so adorable! I wish they could get their own books, because I’d love to read that. It’s obvious how close Remy’s team is, and that’s what makes Brooke even more special, that they embraced her so easily despite the fact that it’s been just the five of them for a long time.

Mine is so much steamier than Real, no kidding! Brooke and Remy are going at it quite a lot, but this time every touch is filled with love. And it’s amazing to see that love in everything they do together. These two are really one of my favourite NA couple ever!

One of my favourite aspects of this series is the music. In Real, Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls brought Brooke and Remy together. And it’s there in this one too, but there are others that fit so well with this book at certain moments. I’d recommend listening to the Mine playlist before or while reading the book. I love almost every song on it, and they’re perfect for this book! Dark Side by Kelly Clarkson, When You’re Gone by Avril Lavigne, and According to You by Orianthi are just some of those songs.

I devoured this book in a few hours and was instantly desperate for more. There was so much emotion in it, so much intensity. I loved every second of it. And now I’m dying to read Remy! I know that’s the final Brooke/Remy book, and I know I’ll savour it slowly.

  1. I read "Real" and LOVED it! I didn't even know the second book was out yet. Yeah! Thanks for the good review. Have you heard of the book, "A Thousand Years of Johnny Von" by author Edith M. Cortese? Every woman has imagined a love with a movie start at some point or another. I found it to hard to put down....I had to order Pizza Hut so I didn't have to stop and feed my family until the book was done!

  2. LOL - that looks like a cool read, Robyn :-). Love the movie star themed romance, too.
