That was me internally freaking out because today is such a special day for me! Today, September 17th, one year ago, City of Books was born. I was introduced to the wonders of book blogging, and I love it so freaking much. I never thought I'd have so much passion for something - I can't go a few hours without checking on my blog, and can't go more than a couple of days without posting. I've never been in a reading/blogging slump yet, and I hope I won't get to experience that, ever.
I want to thank one of my bestest friends Rabiah @ Confessions of a Readaholic for helping me out so much when I first started out with my blog. Another special thanks to Ippy Nandi, fellow bookaholic and another one of my best friends, for being so proud of me throughout :) I love talking books with you guys practically every day at school! ❤
I've made so many amazing blogger and reader friends in the past year, and I love the constant Twitter conversations we have about books or other random stuff in general! I can't name everyone here, but some of the first bloggers I knew are Molli, Kayleigh, Jana, Valerie, and Vi. You guys are some of my favourite bloggers and I really hope we get to meet someday!
I wanna thank all of you guys who read my blog regularly and comment. You make me want to continue blogging for as long as I can! Thanks for supporting City of Books so much, and it means a lot to me.
I noticed that some people post blog stats in their blogoversary posts. Well, the followers are all visible for you to see, so I'll just post other random stats I can think of.
Most popular reviews: Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare, Hover by Melissa West
Most popular post: Author Interview with April Lindner + Giveaway!
Most popular non-giveaway post: Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
Number of reviews posted: 154
Number of published posts: 306
I don't want to make this a huge-ass acknowledgement post, so let's get down to what I decided to do for my blogoversary. Since school's particularly annoying at the moment, I didn't have time to plan much. Of course there's a giveaway, but I had trouble deciding what to, well, give away. I didn't want to do a normal 'my favourite 2013 books' or '2014 pre-order' giveaway, so I thought for a while, and realized this -
Today is September 17th 2013. SO MANY freaking amazing books come out today! So I'm going to give away the winner's choice of one of the following awesome books :)
