Author Interview with Bella Forrest + Giveaway!

Hey guys! I recently reviewed A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forrest (you can check out my review here), and I now have the honour of hosting Bella Forrest here on the blog!

Interview with Bella Forrest

Me: As a debut novelist, how difficult did you find the road to publishing?

Bella: Very easy since I decided to go the indie route and self-publish. I did not even submit my book to any agents or publishers. I was so inspired by Amanda Hocking's self-publishing success that I decided to just dive right in.

Me: I loved A Shade of Vampire! How many books are you planning for this series?

Bella: I'm really not sure at this point! Although I can say at least two more.

Me: Yay, I can't wait to read more! What inspired you to write A Shade of Vampire?

Bella: I'm not really sure if there was a direct inspiration. The idea just sort of popped into my head one day, and the characters and storyline developed organically from there.

Me: Name a few of your favourite authors.

Bella: Jane Austen, C.S. Lewis, J.K. Rowling (I am a huuuge Potter fan).

Me: I love Harry Potter, and Narnia too! In your opinion, what is the hardest part about writing a book?

Bella: I think it's different for every writer. But for me, the hardest part has always been organizing my thoughts and ideas; deciding which ones to use and in what order. And which to throw out.

Me: Now for a few favourites!

Favourite book genre?
Fantasy romance.

Favourite ice cream flavour?
That is a tough one! Oh, I think I would have to say Pralines & Cream.

Favourite childhood movie?
The Jungle Book! Mowgli was my hero.

Favourite vacation spot?
I'm not sure if I have a favorite...but for the purposes of this interview I'll go with a Greek island.

Favourite superhero?

Thank you so much, Bella, for taking the time out to answer my questions :)

  1. I think you should add pictures to your interviews, they`re interesting, but I have no idea of how the author looks like or any of her books. I`m just saying.

    1. The author actually doesn't have an author photo yet; I have no idea what she looks like either. I have added pictures to my other interviews. But I agree with you about adding a pic of the book. Thanks

    2. Really? That`s strange, I usually like to know how the author looks like :D I`ve noticed that you had cover and author pictures in other interview posts, but this one didn`t have any pictures, so...
